Professional Advisory Board

We are proud to be guided by an exceptional advisory board of professionals who generously contribute their decades of expertise to help us develop the highest-quality programming:

  • Maggie Feinstein – Executive Director of the 10.27 Healing Partnership and a master’s-level counselor specializing in integrated mental health. She leads trauma-informed community building efforts supporting the Pittsburgh Jewish community in the wake of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting—the deadliest antisemitic attack in U.S. history.

  • Dr. Daniel Rosen, PhD, MSW – Professor of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in community health, urban social challenges, and health social work.

  • Dr. Adam Raff, M.D. – Psychiatrist with decades of experience in medical and mental health care.

  • Meredith Jacobs – CEO of Jewish Women International, a global leader in ending violence against women and girls, and spearhead of the I Believe Israeli Women / Global Advocacy and Engagement initiative launched after the sexual violence of October 7th.

  • Hagit Tzon, MSW – Psychotherapist, group analyst, and nationally renowned expert in group dynamics. She also provides supervision for our professional staff in Israel.

  • Idit Shani Adom – Clinical psychologist and nationally recognized expert in group therapy and facilitation.

  • Rany Levy, MSW – Psychotherapist, group analyst, and trauma specialist with three decades of experience and a research and teaching background at Bar-Ilan University.

  • Dr. Ofira Honig, PhD – Senior researcher and tenured professor of Clinical Art Therapy at Beit Berl College. She founded the Lo Levad art therapy initiative immediately after October 7th, which has provided support to over 1,800 trauma survivors and pioneered innovative treatment models, including “curation therapy” with the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

Board of Directors

  • Michal Carmel,  Board Chairwoman -  Chair of the Board. A social worker and child development specialist, currently serving as a senior advisor to Israel’s Ministry of Education and the Joint Early Childhood Policy Secretariat. With more than three decades of experience in community and public welfare, Michal brings deep professional insight and a lifelong dedication to supporting the growth and wellbeing of children, families, and communities across Israel.

  • Michal Shaked, Board Member - A senior HR consultant and mentor with over 30 years of experience in key leadership roles, including VP of Human Resources in global and technology companies. Today, she works independently as an executive coach and trainer, guiding leaders and HR professionals in their professional growth. A dedicated social activist, Michal is a co-founder of Kehilanu and an experienced volunteer and board member in organizations promoting social change, driven by her belief in the power of human connection to foster resilience and healing.

  • Sigal Paz, Board Member - Board Member. An insurance agent specializing in finance and investments, Sigal brings a broad strategic insight and extensive experience in financial and organizational management. For over 20 years, she has been a volunteer at the Tel Aviv Sexual Assault Crisis Center, where she served for many years as Board Chair and authorized signatory. Sigal also leads empowerment groups for young women at-risk and is deeply committed to social change, believing in the healing power of community, empathy, and giving.
